🌟 I love Orwell's writing for the powerful simplicity of his style. Every sentence moves the story forward. I especially appreciated how he wrote about animals expressing emotion. So out of the many of the common "literary works" you read in American public schools I think this one really holds up and pretty easy to understand. Though haphazardly applied to many situations I still think it teaches a decent lesson that most benefit from. Even if you don't get the far from subtle message it is still a entertaining story. Eine spannende und erschreckende Fabel über Machtmissbrauch von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite. Genau wie bei der "Herr der Fliegen" frage ich mich bei diesem Buch wieso wir ihn damals (long time ago) nicht im Schulunterreicht behandelt haben

This book gives a lot of thought about the current time, but has done so in previous years. The key takeaway is to take care of yourself, your rights and to stand up for what you believe is right.

A great insightful and easy read.

This tale highlights how an idealistic revolution can turn to a dystopia worse than the oppresion from before. There are many parellels to the story of the Soviet Union which makes it especially interesting for history nerds.
